Post All about that suite life

Friday November 14, 2014

The Red & Black has a look at Sanford Stadium’s premium seating including the Champions Club, SkyClub and SkySuites. The premium seating is a big money-maker for the athletic department, and – as you’d expect – the high-dollar tickets almost always get used one way or another.

The most interesting nugget was that the popularity of (not to mention revenue from) these seats could lead to a conversion of some part of the stadium to additional premium seating.

“I would envision in the next 10 years we’ll have done something,” said Georgia Bulldogs Club Director Mark Slonaker. “We’ll have converted some kind of space in the stadium to more premium seats.”

  • If some of the existing seats in Sanford Stadium are converted into “premium seats”, then go ahead and add more regular seats which don’t require any “donation” to the school. Some people can’t afford the “premium” seats.
