I was skeptical when they called for a red-out against LSU last year. That’s like asking Johnny Cash to perform in black, right? I have to admit though that the effect was noticeable. Sanford Stadium really popped (as did most things that day).

The two pictures below are from similar angles. The first is from the LSU game. The second is from the Missouri game a few weeks later. Yes, the lighting and situations are different. There’s a lot of red in the Missouri photo. There’s a pretty clear difference though. Wear red.
