But IMO, in a 16 team playoff (which I tend to think of as a mistake at this time) the impact on the regular season would be debateable. Might reduce it. might not. I can see either argument. I don't believe an 8 team playoff would impact the "meaning" of the regular season at all. It just replaces the BCS, more or less. Depends on the format.
